These sensors are not limit switches, they communicate with the Lift Mate to identify when your limit switches are picked up.  Your Lift Mate comes with one limit switch sensor for storage position which enables the  'down to service position' function. An additional sensor may be purchased for the lower limit position and the 'up to service position' feature.
